Modern Argonauts
In the dimension of a universe parallel to the visible world, that of the planet Poshead , it is the artist's interpretation that outlines the vision of all that is beyond that which is behind everything, it is the artist who takes charge of the discovery and through his work makes the world beyond the reality of things known to the public.
The sensations that one gets when admiring each single work, each bag in this case, is free to read for each user who tries to admire each single artifact.
But that's not all: the Poshead concept goes beyond this and leaves each person the opportunity to express themselves by creating their own alter ego that represents themselves in the real dimension of living.
The Poshead planet is composed of anthropomorphic beings with the bag as a head where the accessory of the glasses, a must Poshead now also made in a real version to be worn as a prescription accessory or sunglasses and not only as a decorative element on bags, serves to interpret objective reality to make it subjective. Through the gaze of the Poshead lenses everyone is free to look beyond the appearance of things and vice versa also to let themselves be represented by them.
Looking at this photo, one cannot help but think of the first moonwalk where the astronauts, protagonists of an exclusive discovery, spokesmen for a reality that still had to be explored before being brought back to the world, wore helmets just like the characters from Planet Posh, here intent on looking at the lens, motionless and almost posing a moment before an action to be performed.
And just like the Apollo mission protagonists who were given the opportunity to rename their spacecraft, Apollo 10 decided to call the Command Module Brown and the Lunar Module Snoopy respectively, so Poshead chooses to call the heads of these creatures Steam, after the eponymous bag collection that names the line.
The parallel between the most famous astronauts of the Apollo missions and the modern Argonauts of the Poshead world becomes even closer and more interesting if we remember Snoopy's alter ego Joe Hawk - or Joe Cool in the original language - who wore aviator glasses, the same glasses as the characters in this photo.
The watchword for all these adventurous travellers is don't stop! None of the characters we have listed stop at the appearances of things but make a continuous exploration beyond reality and a search beyond conventional laws, free and without patterns.
And you, which Poshead protagonist are you?
